My Peter Bjorn and John post from their shows at Madison Square Garden opening for Depeche Mode got lost in cyberspace, but luckily I retrieved it, so here it is for you.
The finest Swedes, Peter Bjorn and John, opened for Depeche Mode at Madison Square Garden on their sold out 2 – night stand in New York last night (August 3 and 4, 2009). I’ve been a fan of this trio for a couple of years now and I saw them earlier this year perform a solo show (which was awesome) and I even met them afterwards.
They are supporting their latest album “Living Thing” and their way too short set consisted mostly of tracks off this album. Lead singer Peter Moren has a John Lennon-esque voice with Phil Spector-esque production values. If that is a good thing to you, I recommend that you check out their music.
The setlist for both nights (except where noted) was:
It Don’t Move Me / Just The Past / Living Thing (first night only) / Lay It Down / Young Folks / Nothing To Worry About / Objects of My Affection
