I took this photo several months ago when I was in London. I’ve spent months trying to figure out what it means. I still have no clue. Can someone shed some light for me? Thanks in advance.

I just got back from London myself a few days and and saw this sign and i was perplexed on what it meant. Tried asking my UK friends but they did not know. so I googled it:
A term used in the UK for a giant speed bump with a striped crosswalk on top of it.
The humped crossing ensures that cars slow down as they approach the junction.
