G meets Patti Smith!

Patti Smith and G

What an exciting day!  I went with blog goddess Gail to see a bunch of art exhibits (which you’ll read about in future postings) and as we were leaving the last gallery in Chelsea, Gail so rightly pointed out that rock goddess Patti Smith was walking down the street, opposite us.  As I am a huge fan, I naturally freaked out and grabbed my camera. As I caught up to the legend, I asked for a photo and she gladly obliged.  I unfortunately did not get to tell her that seeing her perform on the last night of CBGB was life-changing for me, but I know she knows that she changed a lot of people’s lives that night.  Thanks to Gail for the great spot and thanks to Patti Smith for being so cool!
