Charles Addams' New York - Now showing at the Museum of the City of New York

You all know Charles Addams’ work as he famously created the Addams Family.  Maybe you didn’t know that he also used to illustrate for New Yorker magazine, drawing quirky takes on a quirky city.  As I learned at the exhibit Charles Addams’ New York,  at the Museum of the City of New York, Addams often infused monsters and subversive images in his illustrations.  The exhibit boasts over 100 illustrations, his drafting table plus the original costume designs for the beloved Addams Family characters.  The exhibit runs through May 16, 2010, so if you are a fan of twisted situations and macabre characters, you won’t want to miss this.

See more photos of the exhibit after the jump.
