At the Christopher Henry Gallery in New York is an exhibit not to be missed:Christopher Makos’ Polaroids. Makos is an American artist whose photos have been seen all over the world in magazines and exhibits alike. He was a good friend to Andy Warhol and he introduced the works of Keith Haring and Basquiat to Andy! This show has candid shots of Debbie Harry of Blondie, Andy Warhol and Velvet Underground’s Lou Reed, just to name a few. The folks at the Christopher Henry Gallery were kind enough to let me post a few photos I took at the exhibit, but I’d like to reiterate that seeing them on a website and seeing them with your own eyes are vastly different experiences. The exhibit runs through May 23, 2010 and the gallery, located at 127 Elizabeth Street is open from Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am – 6 pm. Don’t miss out!
See a few photos after the jump.
