The May Day Mural by Shepard Fairey on Bowery and Houston.

The Shepard Fairey May Day mural on Bowery and Houston in New York has been attacked again!  Several days ago, vandals punched holes in this really cool mural and now a sign has been affixed to it. See a closeup of what the sign says after the jump.

"Please do not graffiti this wall. Thank you, Paul Richard."

Artist Paul Richard has tagged the Shepard Fairey wall.  Apparently, Paul Richard put up a small sign over the mural a few days ago and when that was taken down, he posted a larger version.  Hilarious! In a sense, this is like bootlegging a bootlegger.
