I’ve been a big fan of artist Scooter LaForge’s work for a long time. His paintings and limited edition T-shirts are so cool. You can see a very nice array of his work on his official website (link is above). Additionally, you can catch some of his designs in the flesh at the T Minus 20 exhibit at the Christopher Henry Gallery (which runs through August 1, 2010). You can purchase some of Scooter’s awesome shirts at the online Ignite Store as well. Through the magic of the internet, I was able to reach out to him personally and gush about his wonderful work. I kept all my feelings about what a hottie he is to myself. Did I just say that out loud? Oops! As it seems we have been running in similar social circles, I was trying to coordinate a coincidental random encounter. As luck would have it, planning something was not necessary as we ran into each other at a screening of the new and great documentary on Jean-Michel Basquiat, The Radiant Child. We chatted for just a few moments, and as I expected, Scooter was super cool. Due to the timing of the movie, (he was walking in, I was walking out), we didn’t get to talk for very long, but I am sure this is the first of many more encounters to come. Thanks again Scooter for being so cool and I hope to see you again!
