Graffolution at the Soapstone Gallery

The Soapstone Gallery in New York has an amazing exhibition currently showing called “Graffolution – The Evolution of Graffiti and Street Art.” Â The exhibit boasts 44 works from artists such as Billi Kid, Matt Siren, The Me Nobody Knows (TMNK), Royce Bannon, Fumero, and more. Â It’s really fantastic. Â The pieces in the exhibit are extremely affordable too (ranging from $350 – $8,000). Â The pictures above and below are just a tasty little sample of the coolness you’ll see at the Soapstone Gallery, so head on down before August 15, 2010 when “Graffolution” closes. The Soapstone Gallery is located at 11 West 36th Street, 5th Floor in New York. Â Special thanks to Frankie Velez who gave me so many insights into these wonderful works!
Juan Carlos Pinto made a young Michael Jackson out of NYC Subway Metrocards! Â Wow!!!
See more amazing works after the jump.
I really love this work from Fumero. Â There’s a lot of nods to street artists as well as the traditional masters in this piece. Â Fantastic!
You know my feelings about singer M.I.A., but I did really love this piece by Billi Kid.
