Nick Walker - Nutterfly

New York was the lucky recipient of a new mural by reclusive British artist Nick Walker. Walker’s usage of stencil and social commentary in his art is often mistaken for Banksy’s work. “Nutterfly” is located at 13th and Wellington, right near the Mr. Brainwash exhibit (which is open again!) in the Meat Packing District.  Arrested Motion was lucky enough to be there for the making of this wonderful piece and all I can say is – I’m jealous!  But I got to meet Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and they didn’t – so there!  Next time you’re in town Nick, I’ll be happy to be your official photographer.

Do you think he is really Banksy? Because that is what I’ve heard.

I’ve heard it too… but they are different people. There are pictures of Nick Walker floating around out there… Unless it’s all a hoax. 🙂

  • Gail said,

Yeah I mean, what about Brainwash too?
