Dan Black!

This is my third time seeing Dan Black live and I think he gets better and better every time.  He is certainly more animated.  Along with The Far East Movement, Robyn and Kelis, the 4-some has embarked on the All Hearts Tour and they played a sold out show at Webster Hall on August 5, 2010.  The last time I saw Dan Black perform, he opened for Julian Casablancas and the crowd was expecting a rock and roll opener instead of a dance-pop performer.  At the All Hearts Tour, the crowd knew exactly what to expect and was dancing and singing along to Dan’s hits such as “Symphonies,” “U + Me,” and “Pump My Pumps.”  He also played my favorite, “Pass That Head Noize,” which is a cover of Missy Elliott’s “Pass That Dutch.”  I met Dan Black for the second time prior to the show and the story of that encounter is coming soon.  Congrats to Dan Black for his two MTV Video Music Award nominations!  I’m rooting for you!
