Photos by G. Art by Rob Pruitt.
I’ve been a fan of Rob Pruitt’s work for a long time and when I heard about “Pattern and Degradation,” his latest exhibit at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, I knew it was going to be cool. I had no idea it was going to be one of my favorite exhibits of the year. The exhibit has so much going on – from T-shirts, to paintings, a room full of tires that have been turned into candy dishes, to a wall of emails (that has to been seen to be believed) as well as “mix and match” canvases of the artist himself. Realize for each picture you are going to see, there are multiple variations of each theme in the exhibit. Also note that each work is really large, so you’re really in for a treat when you see these works with your own eyes. You’d be foolish to miss this!
See more Rob Pruitt awesomeness after the jump.
Gavin Brown’s Enterprise is located at 620 Greenwich Street in New York.
