As you know from reading this site, I cover of an average of 3 events per day, 7 days a week. I made it over to see UK artist Hush’s first New York exhibit “Found,” at the White Walls’ pop up gallery in the Lower East Side on November 17, 2010 and I have good news and bad news for you. The good news first: the exhibit was awesome! Hush’s work is heavily influenced by the streets and the works are both colorful and gritty. Now the bad news: the exhibit was so exclusive, it was only for two days and by the time you read these words, it will have just closed! If it makes you feel any better, I asked about the opening night party that I couldn’t attend due to a previous commitment and it took place in an abandoned church with really cool neon lights. It looked and sounded like it was an event for the books. Now for more good news: here’s a couple more pictures, including a wall that Hush visited nearby to let New York know he’s arrived. There’s no need to keep a secret about Hush. The word is out!
