I saw so much great art this year.  It has been really hard limiting myself to just 11 exhibits I really loved, but since this is a top eleven list, I had no choice.  These exhibits are in no particular order because they all blew my mind.  Click on any of the hyperlinks and pictures/commentary will open in a new tab.

“Stupid Has A New Hero” by Charming Baker.

“Make Yourself At Home” at the 7 Eleven Gallery.

“Icons” by Mr. Brainwash.

Pint Sized Paintings at Sacred Gallery.

“The Gay 90s Olde Tyme Art Show” by Mark Ryden.

“Made In Heaven Paintings” by Jeff Koons.

“State of Shock” by Fletcher Crossman.

“Status Factory” by Ron English.

May Day” by Shepard Fairey.

“Knitting is for Pus***” by Olek.

“Brick by Brick” by Nathan Sawaya.

I’ll forgive you the MBW- I will admit he does amazing shows but not that into his art.. Like Banksy I don’t like encouraging bad behavior.

I agree with the 7 of these shows that I saw with you, but would also add Travis Louie and Greg “Craola” Simkins to my list! Also, I wish we could have seen Kenny Scharf’s “Hot Glue Hullabaloo”! What a great year for art! Art!
