Happy 78th Birthday, Chita Rivera

Broadway legend Chita Rivera turns 78 today, January 23, 2011.  I saw her perform a one woman show last year and I’m not going to lie – it was AMAZING!  She sounded great, she looked great and she still has the moves!  I’ve met her in person many times and she’s very cool!  Happy birthday Chita!  Also celebrating birthdays today are Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, an airline pilot who became a national hero because he did his job and landed a plane.  Actually, there was a bit of turmoil and he got the passengers to safety.  But the duration of the flight before the malfunction was about 10 minutes and the guy is STILL being honored.  Whatever!  Also celebrating a birthday today is John Hancock.  He’d be 274 today.  Since he kind of invented the autograph, I kinda owe this little section of posting my autograph collection to him.  So thanks John and happy birthday!
