Hey New Yorkers! Is your New Year’s Resolution to read more? Is it to have more fun in 2011? I’ve got just the thing for you to multitask and combine both goals:
Book Club Burlesque is back from the dead! This Variety show is now half a decade strong and STILL going, merging the borders of performance art, the avant garde, and literacy!
The event will be February 1st, 2011 at Parkside Lounge (347 East Houston Street, Manhattan, NY)
The book will be “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”
Artists and performers: musicians, dancers, circus, variety, burlesque performers, film makers, puppeteers, piano players, drag queens, installation artists, photographers, actors, freaks, the bizarre, strange, and subversive
We highly recommended that you read the book because this IS a BOOK CLUB.
The goals for our Book Club Burlesque events are to :
1. promote literacy;
2. showcase unique talent; and
3. Have SEXY FUN!
If these things are important to you then come join the collective!
