New York! Here’s a show you cannot miss. “Modern Urbanisms” by TMNK (The Me Nobody Knows) aka NOBODY. I’ve seen his art before on the streets and I’ve even had the chance to meet the mysterious artist, but this was the first chance I’ve had to see a full length exhibit of his work. Though NOBODY’s work has the familiarity of Basquiat, all the pieces are originally fresh, colorful and have so much great social commentary.
“Modern Urbanisms” is set up like a time line of NOBODY’s career from street art to being featured in a gallery. I really loved this exhibit and I feel that after looking at the works, I may not know NOBODY, but I sure love him!
This wall features the works of NOBODY as well as some of his contemporaries that came up on the streets along with him, such as Army Of One and Peru Ana Ana Peru. NOBODY is a somebody to me! You can see “Modern Urbanisms” at 351 Bowery in New York until February 28, 2011. Don’t miss it!
