The Sacred Gallery in New York is great for so many reasons. Located on 424 Broadway, 2nd Floor (at Canal Street), the space houses a really cool tattoo parlor as well as an art gallery. Everyone you’ll encounter at the Sacred Gallery is really cool and every month, they have a new exhibit showcasing great art. On February 5, 2011, the gallery hosted The Tata Gala (Best of the Breast). Featuring the work of 20 artists, the mixed media show was quite cool. Even better, the opening night reception was a benefit to raise money for breast cancer research! As the name of the show suggests, the exhibit celebrates the female body and the art was quite titillating (sorry, I couldn’t resist).
