On February 1, 2011, Ohio pop/rockers Walk The Moon opened for Panic! At The Disco at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.  The band expressed their gratitude to Panic for the opportunity, and the crowd returned the love.  How can you not love a band that wears face paint on stage?!  Impossible, according2g.  If you don’t know their music, their songs are very catchy pop with a bit of a retro edge.  You can sample the merchandise on Walk The Moon’s official website.  I think you’ll see why they’ve been getting a lot of blog love, being called a band to watch out for.

I met Walk the Moon’s lead singer, Nicholas Petricca after the band’s set and he was extremely nice.  I congratulated him on a great show and wished Walk the Moon great success!  See a photo of that moment after the jump.

This band blows my mind. They are everything the current music scene is lacking. Like the Beatles, they have mastered writing tightly arranged and well thought out pop songs. People who listen to Katy Perry and people who listen to the Killers will enjoy Walk the Moon. Can’t wait to see what else they do!
