Oh Land

Oh Land

A few months ago, I discovered the music of Danish singer Nanna Oland Fabricius, better known as Oh Land.  I’d been given a 5 track EP that featured soon to be smash singles “Sun of a Gun,”  “White Nights” and “Wolf & I.”  I liked all of the electro-pop songs immediately and when I saw Oh Land in concert, I was happy to see that she delivered the goods live.  The superstar in the making is releasing her first album entitled “Oh Land” on March 15, 2011 on Epic.  The album comes hot on the heels of a successful American TV performance on Late Night With David Letterman and a cherry opening slot on 80s gods OMD’s first US tour in 20 years.  In addition to the great songs listed above, the album also features a cover of Fleet Foxes “We Turn It Up,” and the extremely catchy tracks “Human” and  “Voodoo.”  The album clocks in at 40 minutes and there’s not a bad song on it.  Fans of Kylie will love this album and I am very excited for Oh Land’s future atop the pop charts.
