This is not as fancy as one of my completely random celebrity/rock star encounters, but it’s not any bit less amazing.  At the Opera Gallery in New York on April 29, 2011, over 15 artists were on hand to sign autographs for “The 3D Art Book” by Tristan Eaton.  The book features works from artists such as Mark Ryden, Travis Louie, Tara McPherson, Shepard Fairey and the list goes on and on.  The Opera Gallery had many images on display and just when you think seeing these works of art by this impressive list of artists could not get any better – wait until you see them in 3D!  The legendary graffiti team Mint and Serf were on hand for the reception and they were both totally cool when I gushed to them what an inspiration they are.  A fun fact about Mint and Serf:  collaborating as The Mirf, they created the first ever graffiti based vinyl toy!  If you have 3D glasses, put them on and enjoy Mint and Serf’s piece from the 3D Art Book.  Thanks again Mint and Serf!  Respect!
