Happy birthday to artist Scott Campbell.  He began his art career as a tattoo artist, leaving permanent marks on the likes of Marc Jacobs and Sting and then he made the leap into galleries.  His works need to be seen to be believed.  He is known to take stacks of uncut sheets of dollar bills and carve very intricate designs out of them (as you can see above).  I’ve seen his art in both Los Angeles and New York and I’ve been blown away each time.  If you are in the New York area, you can see his work in a group exhibit called “Blankness is Not a Void,” at Marc Jancou Contemporary (located at 524 West 24th Street in Manhattan).  Happy birthday Scott!
