Move over baby, whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on! The killer, Jerry Lee Lewis is 76 years old today. I had the great privilege of seeing him perform as he opened the show of both nights of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th anniversary benefit concerts a few years ago. Age hasn’t slowed him down at all and he delivered a killer version of “Great Balls of Fire.” Rather than kick the piano seat over as he used to do, he gently pushed it across the stage. It was pretty funny and it got him a standing ovation at Madison Square Garden (both nights!) Who said New York crowds are so tough?
