Former baseball player and juicer Mark McGwire was born today. I met Mark on so many occasions when he first started playing the game. He has always been very tall and extremely muscular, which is one of the reasons he is such a great player. I stopped following the game in the late 1990s and the next time I heard about McGwire was when there were steroid usage allegations against him. I recall seeing pictures of him on the news. It appeared that nobody bothered to do a side by side comparison of photos from the beginning of his career versus what he looked like at present day. If they had, it would have been pretty obvious to see that his head and neck were like 5 times larger than they used to be. Of course ego probably had something to do with that, but to my knowledge, there is no amount of working out that can make your head enlarge!
Then he denied it and it finally came out that he used steroids and had to admit publicly that he is a liar. Never once has the game of baseball offered to give fans refunds for misrepresenting the game. It’s always billed as an all American sport, but it’s actually just filled with druggies. I have no problem with that, but what’s up with the double standards and the false advertising? If us common folks deceived the masses in a similar manner, the book would be thrown at us, yet this institution and its guilty players can’t be touched. Just so you know, it’s these types of deceptions that people are finally starting to wake up from and rise up against. That’s a game that will be worth watching, according2g!
