All I can say about Trustocorp’s latest exhibit ”Life Cycle,” which is on display at the Opera Gallery in New York, is that it’s a must see. There are roughly 25 works of art and all of them are hilarious commentaries on our rapidly crumbling society. Like the work of Ron English, each work is masterfully created from an artistic point of view and is fused with the hilarity and hypocrisy of human behavior. Their parodies of established brands in our society are all genius and below are two brief examples of why you cannot miss this exhibit.
Long before #OccupyWallStreet was sending a message to the world, artists such as the Trustocorp collective were taking the message to the streets. There is no better time to show this exhibit than now as we are living in “Fall of the Roman Empire 2011.”
Laugh, think about the turblent times we are in and DO SOMETHING! You can start by visiting the Opera Gallery in New York located at 115 Spring Street. “Life Cycle” by Trustocorp runs until 11/11/11.
