Even if you don’t know Mick Rock’s name, you surely know his photos.  Mick Rock has photographed everyone from David Bowie to Truman Capote to Lady Gaga.  Iconic album covers from Iggy Pop, Lou Reed and Queen have been shot by Mick Rock and the artist is celebrating his amazing career with an exhibit at Chair And The Maiden (CATM) in Chelsea.  The exhibit features vintage Mick Rock photos as well as Mick Rock’s artistic reinterpretations of some of his most famous works.

If you love rock and roll, you’ll love Mick Rock’s “The Legend Series,” which is on display at CATM (located at 500 West 22nd Street in Chelsea) through April 22, 2012.

I met Mick Rock at the opening night gala reception, which was a rock and roll event in and of itself!  Mick was super cool and when I asked to take a photo with him, he couldn’t have been nicer.  Thanks again Mick.  You Rock!
