Indian born and London based artist Anish Kapoor has two great exhibits showing in New York simultaneously at Gladstone Gallery (through June 9, 2012).  Pictured above is one of 22 free-standing cement sculptures (and can be seen at the 515 West 24th Street location).

The second of the 2 part exhibition takes place at Gladstone Gallery (located at 530 West 21st Street) and is a massive dome-shaped sculpture (hollow in the center). Anish Kapoor will be unveiling Britain’s largest public art work at the 2012 Olympics later this year and you know it will be amazing!

Until then, the duo of Anish Kapoor exhibits are running at Gladstone Gallery in New York through June 9, 2012.

Spotted at the opening of these exhibits were writer Salman Rushdie as well as artist Matthew Barney along with Bjork and of course Anish Kapoor was on hand and after the jump, see a photo of me with the artist.
