The Vaccines, whose latest album “The Vaccines Come of Age,” is currently at #1 in the UK charts, played a sold out show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on September 10, 2012.   The show was a mix of old and new one of the things I like most about The Vaccines is that their songs are short and to the point.  They start off fast and furious, make you rock out and then they move on to the next track where the whole process is repeated.

Behind the band was a huge poster of their new album cover.  The Vaccines were in high spirits and were very gracious in thanking the crowd as thunderous applause erupted after each song.  Some of the highlights were the fast and furious “Wrecking Bar (Ra Ra Ra),” the opener and new track “No Hope,” which has really great lyrics about taking care of yourself before you worry about the rest of the world and the non-album track “Tiger Blood.”  A video of “Wrecking Bar” is coming soon, so stay tuned for that.

If you have corrections to the set list, please let me know.  I didn’t get a photo and I am trying to post it from memory (which is never a good thing considering how many events I go to).

No Hope / Wrecking Bar (Ra Ra Ra) / Tiger Blood / I Always Knew / Wetsuit / Teenage Icon / Under Your Thumb / Ghost Town / Post Break-Up Sex / All In White / Blow It Up / If You Wanna / Bad Mood / Noorgard
