I can’t even begin to explain how much I love Erykah Badu.  When you go to one of her shows, it’s less of a concert and more like a soulful religious experience.  Whether she’s telling amazing stories in between songs, schooling the audience to the spiritual side of life, or just singing different and funky versions of her great songs (and she never disappoints in that area), you will leave her shows feeling lighter and wishing that she would release all of her concerts on CD/DVD/MP3.  Though I’ve seen Erykah Badu in concert many times in the last decade, I realized the last time I met her was in 2001 in Minneapolis after both her and I danced on stage at a Prince concert.  Whoa!  Erykah is cool as ever and in fact, when I asked her to take a photo, she stepped up to the plate and took the photo herself.  I kind of look like I photo bombed a selfie of her, but I actually love the way it came out.  Erykah, you are a goddess and I love you!  Thanks for being super cool and super funky!
