If you read this site somewhat regularly (which makes you one of my heroes by default), you know that I see a TON of live music.  In the last several years of seeing hundreds of new bands, one of my favorites (if not my very favorite) is the Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala.  In addition to being fantastic musicians, lead singer Kevin Parker’s vocals are a marriage of George Harrison and John Lennon’s sound.  I have worn out their 2 albums and EP and I’ve seen them in concert many times.  The more I see them (or listen to them), the more I just absolutely fall in love.  On October 1, 2013, they played on a triple bill that also featured Sean Lennon’s group Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and Flaming Lips at the dreaded Terminal 5 in New York.  To say the show was mind-blowing was an understatement.  You’ll see what I mean once you click play and get lost in the psychedelic groove of “Nothing That Has Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could Control.”

Oh man, this song / video is so sublime. If only the people in the crowd would shut the fuck up and show some respect to the band and those who are there to actually hear the music and not blab to their friends and text. Tim & Paula!
