Bruce Weber is a fashion photographer, film maker and director of two of the best music videos of all time – “Being Boring” and “Se A Vida E (That’s The Way Life Is)” by Pet Shop Boys.  Bruce was in town for a retrospective of his work that included a screening of his film “Let’s Get Lost.”  If you have never seen it, it is a must.  The film is about jazz artist Chet Baker and Bruce Weber got to interview Baker throughout the last couple of years of his life.  The film mixes vintage footage and photos of Chet Baker with scenes of his tragic last days.  Chet Baker was as gorgeous as a pin up model and heroin and alcohol addiction took over his life and prior to his death, he looked like a ghost of his former self.  The film features Bruce Weber’s signature gorgeous black and white backgrounds and is visually stunning.  I met Bruce Weber at the screening and he was very nice.  I gushed about how much I love his Pet Shop Boys videos (amongst his other work) and was very nice to me.   Thanks Bruce!  It was truly an honor!  “Let’s Get Lost” is set to be released on DVD in December 2013, and you NEED to see it!
