New York!  Head over to Jonathan Levine Gallery to check out two interesting exhibits:  “Unforeseeable” by Rafael Silveira (covered here) and “Power Tripping” by Australian street artist Anthony Lister.  If you’re a long time reader of the site (and I thank you for your patronage), you’re familiar with Lister’s work both on the streets and in the galleries.

There are at least 30 works in “Power Tripping” and Lister has painted frames on the walls.  Photos do not do justice to his works, so I urge you to check out this exhibit in person.  Part expressionism, part Basquiat, Lister also combines using oil with spray paint, keeping it real with his street art roots.

Anthony Lister was super cool to talk to and it made me laugh that when I asked him to sign something, he detested my blue sharpie.  You can’t win them all, but thanks for using it anyway!  Your autograph in blue sharpie is in VERY good company in the G archives, I assure you 🙂

His art is very original and cool, too bad he has such a hard on for Blue Pens.
