Tom Jones
I’ve been saying this for years and now someone whose voice can also make a difference is concurring! Love!
Tom Jones has spoken out against American I-Dull Judge Simon Cowell in an interview with The Daily Mirror. The icon has said ” I have problems when people who have never got up on a stage to sing judge those who do. Who are they to say? Simon Cowell is a record man, not a singer. How can someone give advice if he or she is not qualified? It’s like critics who criticise actors, never having been on a stage. Or having a teacher not experienced in teaching. There are loads of judges with experience in the record industry, but can’t sing. They may work for a record company, but to have stood where that person is standing is a unique thing. That’s the difference. It frustrates me when people comment on others singing when they haven’t actually been there themselves. You’ve got the shows with record executives, people who are listening for commercial reasons and whether someone will sell.”
Pass it on!

Beth Ditto of Gossip
Awesome news! The funky-punkers Gossip are releasing their new album “A Joyful Noise” in May 2012. The single “Perfect World” will precede the album. Details are still emerging, but what we do know is that the album was produced by Mark Ronson and Brian Higgins of Xenomania. This can only mean one thing – tour to follow! That’s Gossip worth spreading! Pass it on.

Nothing Really Matters by Madonna
I read this quote from Madonna about her new album title MDNA on NME this morning: “It’s an anagram of my name. I don’t really think about controversy, I think about irony.”
Here’s the irony. Madonna doesn’t know what an anagram is! An anagram is the result of rearranging the letter of a word or phrase to produce a new word or phrase, using all the original letters exactly once.
I point this out solely because Madonna consistently talks in the press to her minions of fans about destroying her ego and in fact, she probably has one of the largest egos on the planet. If you ever meet her in person when there are no cameras rolling, you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. Sure there are worse people out there in the world, but if you reward bad behaviour, you enable it to continue. If we all talk about how we want to see change in the world, CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU!
And that’s one to grow on!
