Jill Jones fans – take a seat because the video you are about to see is going to give you chills! A few weeks ago, the wonderfully talented singer Jeremy Gloff was in New York on tour promoting his newest record “21st Century Love Songs,” and he announced he’d be accompanied on stage by the one and only Jill Jones! Due to an unfortunate scheduling issue, Jill was unable to make the show. Jill did not want to disappoint her fans, so her and Jeremy got together and recorded an acoustic version of her classic song “Violet Blue.” Jeremy sent me the video this morning and I can’t stop watching it. I spoke with Jill and she’s on the verge of announcing some pretty exciting news, so stay tuned for that! And now, Jeremy Gloff and Jill Jones singing an acoustic version of “Violet Blue.”
You know how I’ve mentioned dozens of times that I love the singer Dan Black? Well, this video will explain why. He rules! I was fortunate enough to attend a fashion week party in New York at Sak’s 5th Avenue where Dan Black performed a 5 song acoustic set! His music is usually electro pop, but as you can see and hear from this video, he sounds great unplugged too. I love the bit in the middle of the song where he asks the audience to clap along. Enjoy Dan Black’s new single, “Yours” – acoustic!
If you read this site regularly, you know that I love singer Dan Black. I’ve seen him live multiple times this year and on September 10, 2010, I got to see him perform a 5 song acoustic set for New York’s Fashion Week festivities at Sak’s Fifth Avenue. It was very cute to see that he recognized me as he walked to the stage. I guess stalking being a fan pays off sometimes. He performed a sold out show at the Bowery Ballroom last night, but I was in LA so I missed it. When I spoke with him, he told me that he’ll be back in October playing at the Highline Ballroom! If you’ve never seen him live, you won’t want to miss it.
Pumpin' his pumps - Dan Black
He laughed at me for asking to take a picture of the set list which was eco-friendly and written down on his blackberry. I told him he’ll thank me when he becomes a big star and I was there to document this historic performance. So you heard it here first…

The grand finale – “I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’” by Scissor Sisters, live and acoustic at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles on September 8, 2010. USA, let’s make the Sisters as big in their native country as they are in the rest of the world. They deserve it! Scissor Sisters rule!
Amoeba Music in Los Angeles had Scissor Sisters performing a rare intimate and acoustic show on September 8, 2010. The second to last song was their cover of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.”
