Weeks ago, I put a date, an address and a time to show up in my calendar with no other information. The lack of information lead me to believe it was going to be an event I wouldn’t want to miss, and I was correct. The address was 358 West 20th Street and the place was Nyehaus. The art was fantastic! The exhibit entitled “Olson Olson Recine & Ass.” features the work of Phil Frost, Curtis Kulig, Alex Olson, Steve Olson, and Bob Recine. As you enter the gallery, which is a 4 story town house, you see a staircase. The wall adjacent to the stairs is covered from ceiling to floor with Curtis Kulig’s iconic “Love Me.”
Food, drinks, cool art and great conversation were served for the opening night reception. The Nyehaus website does not have any info on the show, so I’ll assume it runs until the end of July, 2011. Please correct me if I am wrong.
