Irrelevant now at the Arario Gallery in NYC through August 6, 2010

The Arario Gallery in New York is currently showing a very interesting exhibition whose full title is “Irrelevant: Local Emerging Asian Artists Who Don’t Make Work About Being Asian.”  There are over 40 artists in this mixed media exhibit and the works range from the traditional to the bizarre.  As I toured the gallery, it never occurred to me once that all of the artists participating in the exhibit are of Asian descent, but as a lover of cultural beauty, it wouldn’t have mattered to me anyway.  I recommend this exhibit both for the works included as well as the gallery space – it’s amazing.  The Arario Gallery is located at 521 West 25th Street in New York and “Irrelevant” runs through August 6, 2010.

See some more images of just a few things you will see at “Irrelevant” after the jump.
