Blake Chisels Buddha
I love stopping by Art Rev Studios in New York. There’s always great new art on the walls and you’re likely to see artist Blake Emory working on his latest masterpiece. Blake is a master of all styles from realist to abstract painting.
Zebra Collection by Blake
In addition to the great paintings such as his iconic “Zebra Collection,” (as pictured above), he showed me his painting of the New York skyline (see below) and it’s incredible.

You can click on the image to enlarge and you still might not see the skyline, but it’s there! You will definitely see it in person.
Blake Chisels "Father Time"
When I visited the studio space, Blake was at work on not one but two sculptures made of out alabaster. The very top photo in this post is of the Buddha and the one above this text is entitled “Father Time.” Blake told me that as soon as the chiseling is finished, he’ll be adding a clock to the back of “Father Time” to represent the fleeting moments of life. So cool! Thanks to Blake for allowing me to capture these action shots.

Blake and Guillermo Perez at Art Rev Studios in New York (located at 548 West 28th Street)
New York! Prepare to be inspired and amazed. Florida based artists Blake and Guillermo Perez have launched Art Rev Studios in Manhattan. The space, located at 548 West 28th Street, is situated in the center of the art district in Chelsea. On my visit to Art Rev Studios, I was fortunate that Blake and Guillermo Perez were there. I spoke with both artists at length and they told me some of the long term goals of the studio. They seek to display works by emerging artists, throw legendary parties for the art community and spread the message of love and positivity through their work. That’s a winning formula, according2g.
Blake’s infamous Zebra collection is on display (and for sale) as well as other recent works by the tremendously talented artist. He encourages artists to come by the space to look at art, talk about art and if the situation presents itself, make art.
Guillermo Perez explained some of the locations he made some of his works of art (including on the tops of mountains and at clubs) and his talent as well as his enthusiasm about his craft is beyond inspirational. There will be an official launch party for Art Rev Studios on May 27, 2011 – so make sure to save the date and welcome Blake and Guillermo Perez and Art Rev Studios to the neighborhood. Tell them G sent you!
