The last time I saw an exhibit from Deborah Kass was in 2010, and I saw it and wrote about it right before it closed, which was a total bummer.  3 years later, I make it up to you, dear readers, by attending the opening night reception for Kass’ mid-career retrospective at Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York entitled “My Elvis +” and giving you plenty of time to see it.  And you really have to experience this exhibit in person as you will be surrounded by variations of Deborah Kass does Warhol does Streisand in Yentl!  Genius!

In the “back room” of the gallery, there are additional works by Deborah Kass paying tribute to Andy Warhol and yet personalizing the works to reflect her own personal heroes.
