Blek Le Rat
When it comes to street artists, one of the pioneers in the genre is French artist Blek Le Rat. He was spray-painting stencils on the streets when many of today’s street artists were not even sperm. Blek Le Rat has a quite large and very cool exhibit at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York at the moment called “Ignorance is Bliss” and if you are interested in street art, this exhibit is a must see.

There are about 30 works in the exhibit and this marks his largest exhibit to date. I’ve joined Instagram and you can see more photos from this exhibit on my Instagram page. I’m “according2g” so please give me a follow. You won’t regret it.

I was fortunate enough to meet Blek Le Rat at the opening night reception and he was extremely nice! It was an honor to meet the man who was there at the beginning of a genre and is still going strong. Thanks Xavier (aka Blek Le Rat)!
