I was so excited to attend my first art opening at Shepard Fairey’s Subliminal Projects in Los Angeles! On December 11, 2010 I saw a winter group show called “Wreck the Walls.” Over 30 artists participated in the show and I definitely recommend checking out this exhibit if you are in the LA area.

I was happy for the artist to see all the red dots, but sad for my art collection because I really wanted to buy a Curtis Kulig.

In addition to all the amazing art, I met the artist Swoon and I had a very brief chat with Shepard Fairey who DJ’ed the opening.

Wreck the Walls at Subliminal Projects runs until January 15, 2011 and is located at 1331 West Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. Don’t miss it!

Blek LeRat and Banksy on 13th and Washington in New York. While Supplies Last!
New Yorkers – drop what you are doing and head over to 13th and Washington to see the latest works from my beloved street artists Banksy and Blek LeRat, respectively. What a nice birthday surprise when I visited that corner and saw the wall as pictured above.
I zoomed in for you as well so you don’t have to ruin your eyesight.
Blek LeRat in NYC!!!
Aside from the Blek LeRat lithograph I own, this is the first B.L.R. I’ve ever seen in person. As you can see from the above picture, it’s gorgeous!
See another image from Blek and one from Mr. Banksy, after the jump.
