If you love art and are a fan of punk or post-punk music, I have a must-see exhibit for you! At the Boo-Hooray Gallery in New York, visual artists Jon Savage and Linder Sterling have an exhibit called The Secret Public: Punk Montages, Photography and Collages 1976 – 1981. At this exhibit, you’ll see fliers and album covers that were used by Joy Division, Buzzcocks and posters used by Magazine and Factory Records. The Secret Public boasts hundreds of original montages, original posters, fliers and handbills and should not be missed. Additionally, a limited edition catalog with images of the exhibit is available exclusively at the gallery. This “pop-up” gallery is located at 521 West 23rd Street (between 10th and 11th Avenue).
