Tom Hanks and Geoffrey Dicker
New York! Don’t miss your chance to see two time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks live and in the flesh as he makes his Broadway debut in Nora Ephron’s play “Lucky Guy.” The comedy/drama is about the life of Mike McAlary, columnist of New York City tabloids in the 1980s and ’90s. It’s interesting to see Tom Hanks in a role of a character that is unlikeable and because his acting skills are top notch, you forget that you are watching Tom Hanks. There are a bunch of other great actors in the cast including Courtney B. Vance, Maura Tierney, Christopher McDonald, Richard Masur and Peter Scolari, making this an unintentional “Bosom Buddies” reunion! Whoa!!!

Peter Scolari and Geoffrey Dicker
Both Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari were very accommodating (or were as accommodating as possible) to hordes of fans waiting to catch glimpses of the actors and for that I say thank you! “Lucky Guy” only runs though June 2013, so make sure you book your tickets in advance so you don’t miss out. Thanks again Tom and Peter for a great night!

Ellen Burstyn and Geoffrey Dicker
I love me some Ellen Burstyn! If you feel the same, you can see her in the flesh on Broadway in a revival of the Pulitzer Prize winning play “Picnic.” All the details are at this link (which will open in a new window). Thanks Ellen for being so nice!

Jake Gyllenhaal and Geoffrey Dicker
Everyone knows there is only one Jake in my life (Mr. Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters), but Jake Gyllenhaal comes in a close second. Jake is making his American stage debut in New York in “If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet” and if theatre is your thing, you won’t want to miss this show. You can find out more details and purchase tickets at this link. Thanks Jake for being a cool guy!

Cheyenne Jackson and Geoffrey Dicker
I’ve loved actor Cheyenne Jackson since I saw him in a Broadway production of “Xanadu” a few years ago. For that particular performance, they had built a “jury box” and there were a select few seats on the stage, and that’s where I sat. For close to two hours, I was inches away from the actor. You’d think nothing could beat that, but this photo does because long after the memories fade, I can always refer back to this pic. Thanks for being super cool (and super hot) Cheyenne!

Matthew Broderick and Geoffrey Dicker
Bueller… Bueller…
Though Matthew Broderick is best remembered for playing Ferris Bueller, I count “War Games” and “Election” amongst my top Matthew movies. Mr. Sarah Jessica Parker (sorry, I couldn’t resist) is starring on Broadway in the play “Nice Work if You Can Get It” and that’s where I met the star. He was very accommodating to fans and autograph seekers after the play was over, and according2g, that’s a winning combo! Thanks Matthew!
