At the Heidi Cho Gallery in New York, they are presenting an interesting exhibit called “As You Like It Part II.” Nine different artists, each with a unique vision, have participated in this exhibit due to their love affair with process and materials. My favorite work in the exhibit was by Ula Einstein, who describes her creative process as “drawing with fire, blades and hot glue.” The above image of “PULSE: Change and Uncertainty Chapter II” is a mixed media piece derived from traces of Ula’s past paintings and sculpture, as well as human hair that she collected daily from hair salons. As the title suggests, this work is being added to as the exhibit goes on. Pretty cool stuff, according2g. The Heidi Cho Gallery is located at 522 West 23rd Street and “As You Like It Part II” runs though August 15, 2010.
