It’s always a pleasure to take a trip to the Sacred Gallery in New York. If tattoos are your thing, the best artists in the business can fix you right up. If you want to see great art that is very affordable, once again the Sacred Gallery has something to satisfy every price range. Their latest exhibit “Dark Visions in Print and Other Images,” features approximately 100 artists and over 150 works in the exhibit. What you’ll see is a collection of macabre images from the most well known artists in the print-making field. The mixed media exhibition features silkscreen, etching, monoprint and other printmaking processes.
I attended the gala opening night party and I had a blast. There are so many great pieces in the exhibit, it’s easy to get overwhelmed as you peruse the gallery. Luckily for us, “Dark Visions” is running until August 29, 2010, so head on down to the Sacred Gallery which is located at 424 Broadway (2nd Floor) at Canal Street. You can see many more images from “Dark Visions” at the Sacred Gallery’s official website (link is above). Special thanks to Kevin at the Sacred Gallery for passing on his knowledge about the artists and works in this exhibit.
