Sad news out of Hollywood. Actor Peter Falk, best known for his role as sleuth “Colombo” has died at age 83. I was fortunate enough to meet him many times and he was always very nice. RIP Peter!

Sad news from the world of baseball. Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller has died at the age of 92. Feller had a lifetime ERA of 3.25, 44 shutouts and three no-hitters, including the only opening-day no-hitter in Major League Baseball history, in April 1940. I met Bob Feller on many occasions and he was always nice. The world will never see someone as special as Bob Feller again. Rest in peace Bob.
Sad news from the celebrity world this morning. Actor Corey Haim (The Lost Boys) has been found dead of an apparent drug overdose in LA. TMZ has reported this news, so it must be true! Sadly, he’ll probably be remembered for his checkered past with battling drug addiction, but what you may not know is that in the 90s he hosted an annual Toys for Tots event at his house. In my other life when I used to collect celebrity autographs, we used to go every year, as he’d bring together stars as diverse as the cast of “Home Improvement” to Sheena Easton for a good cause. One year, I was in need of a bathroom and Corey Haim allowed me to go inside his house and take care of business. I recall that he had a pretty impressive art collection. Sad, sad, sad. RIP Corey Haim.
