Elisa Fiorillo and Geoffrey Dicker

Ooh! This I need.  Elisa Fiorillo has enjoyed an amazing career in music.  She was discovered on Star Search in 1985 and immediately scored a #1 dance record with “Who Found Who.”  She went on to collaborate with Prince for her underrated classic 1990 album “I Am,” which features 5 tracks written by the purple one (“On The Way Up,” “I Am,” “Love’s No Fun,” “Ooh This I Need” and “Playgirl.”)  Her career has seen her work and perform along side with other musical greats such as Jellybean Benitez, Savage Garden, Dave Koz, La Toya Jackson, Belinda Carlisle, David Cassidy, Nina Simone and Billie Myers.  Currently she’s back inside the purple kingdom singing backup vocals for Prince.  I met her after one of the concerts and Elisa was so cool!  I asked her how she got back in touch with Prince.  She told me that she’d posted a video on YouTube a couple of years ago and Prince saw it and called her up.  One thing lead to another and she’s been working with Prince ever since!   You can catch Elisa Fiorillo live with Prince this summer in Europe.  Thanks again Elisa!  It was great meeting you.
