Elvis Costello and G
I love New York! In spite of the freezing cold weather, I went on another one of my legendary solo adventures. On my way home, I decided I would take a long walk and go down streets I rarely walk along. This methodology paid off and I ran into rock god Elvis Costello along my path! Elvis was on a phone call and I motioned to him that I would love to take a picture with him. He asked his friend on the phone to hold on while he stopped and took a picture with me! He was very polite and I thanked him and we were each off on our merry ways! Thanks so much Mr. Costello for the great music and for being so cool! I’m so happy to have met you!

Neil LaBute and G
Neil LaBute is arguably the best modern playwright alive. His stories are edgy and his unsettling portrayals of human relationships have won him legions of fans across the globe. He’s also an accomplished director (“Nurse Betty,” “The Wicker Man,” “Death At A Funeral,”) and screenwriter. On July 26, 2010, Neil LaBute was reading from his latest collection Filthy Talk For Troubled Times and Other Plays at the Drama Bookshop in New York. Like his stories, Neil LaBute was extremely funny as he alternated between reading passages from his book, answering questions from the audience and also treating us to unheard work! I took a video of him reading his as yet unreleased short story “Anything You Like,” and it’ll be posted here soon, so stay tuned! He also talked about possibly collaborating with Elvis Costello on a musical in the future and the prospect of that had the crowd squealing with delight. I met Neil LaBute after his talk and he was extremely nice. Thanks again Neil and I really hope to see the LaBute/Costello production coming soon!
