Happy birthday to actor Emile Hirsch. He starred in my favorite movie of 2007, “Into The Wild,” and he was totally robbed of an Oscar nomination, according2g. But he’s great in everything he’s in, so I have no doubt that he’ll be an Oscar winner some day. He’s a winner in my book already! Happy birthday Emile! Also born on this day: actress Dana Delaney, baseball player Will Clark, singer Neil Sedaka, U2’s Adam Clayton, and Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
Emile Hirsch and G photographed at an exclusive screening of “Taking Woodstock”
Tonight on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, I attended an exclusive screening of Ang Lee’s soon to be hit film “Taking Woodstock.” The film comes out on August 28 , 2009 (just in time for the 40th anniversary of Woodstock).
The film is excellent. It’s based upon the real life of Elliot Tiber, portrayed by Demetri Martin, whose parents owned a motel in upstate New York. Upon obtaining the proper permit, he was able to work with the organizers of Woodstock to help put on the greatest music festival that ever was.
Emile Hirsch, the brilliant actor from fabulous movies such as “Into the Wild” and “Milk,” plays a Vietnam vet in “Taking Woodstock,” and as always, he is as excellent as he is cute!
Another delicious picture of Emile Hirsch after the jump.
