Vince Clarke is not just a music legend, but he is also a music god! Having the ultra cool honor of being in not one but THREE of the best (and most influential) bands of the 1980s, Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Erasure, he also does DJ gigs on the side! Whoa! I met Vince last weekend and despite all of his accomplishments, has managed to stay super cool towards fans! He took a photo with me, I told him I loved him and that was that. A perfect encounter, according to G.

Happy birthday to Erasure’s Andy Bell who was born on April 25. I was fortunate enough to catch Andy Bell do a very rare DJ set last year and he took the mic as well as performed “Chains of Love” and “A Little Respect.” It was one of those legendary New York nights that I often think about with fondness. Erasure is currently in the studio working on a new record – to be produced by Frankmusik. I am really looking forward to that. Happy birthday Andy and thanks for all the great music – past, present and future!

On November 9, 2010, Erasure’s Andy Bell did a rare DJ set at The Ritz in New York and then performed a few tracks for us. One of them was Erasure’s classic “Chains of Love” and speaking of love, don’t you love this dance arrangement?! I do!

On November 9, 2010, Erasure’s lead singer Andy Bell did a very rare DJ set at The Ritz in New York and then treated the club to a 3 song live set that included a great dance version of the Erasure classic “A Little Respect.”
I was so excited when I found out that Andy Bell from Erasure was going to do a rare DJ set at New York’s gay club The Ritz. I literally arrived at the same time as him and he was super nice. His DJ set included dance mixes of “All the Lovers” by Kylie Minogue, “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush, “Waterloo” by Abba and “Angel Eyes” by Roxy Music! Just after midnight, Andy Bell performed 3 songs: “Touch” (from his latest album “Non-Stop”) as well as 2 Erasure classics “A Little Respect” and “Chains of Love.” Videos of the latter two tracks will be coming soon, so stay tuned. Thanks again Andy for all the great music over the years and for being so cool!
