David LaChapelle - Chains of Life

Head over to the Lever House in New York to see a really cool exhibit by David LaChapelle. “From Darkness To Light” by David LaChapelle is organized in 3 sections.  The first is entitled “Raft of Illusion: Raging Toward Truth” and is a collage of photographs, paper, watercolor, pencil and printed materials.  The second section (as pictured above) is called “Chain of Life.”  It’s comprised of chains of photographic paper rings.  There are approximately 14,000 rings!  Impressive enough that so many rings were utilized, but even cooler, when you get closer to them, you see that the subjects in the photographs are nude.

Finally, there is “Adam Swimming Under a Microscope: Plague of an Ancient City” and “Eve Swimming Under a Microscope: Plague of an Ancient City” which are two circles of translucent photographic stickers adhered to windows.
