Far East Movement

On August 5, 2010, the Far East Movement opened the All Hearts Tour at Webster Hall in New York.  The bill also featured Dan Black, Kelis and Robyn.  Rap usually isn’t my thing, but I had a great time watching FEM.  Fresh off touring with Lady Gaga, the rappers got the crowd revved up with a cover of Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl,” and the group’s own single “Girls on the Dancefloor.” One of the members of the group even handed me a CD single of the song as they were exiting the stage, so that’s always an added bonus.  If rap is your thing, check out their music.  The band donned glowing space helmets as they came on stage and later in their 30 minute set, the trio was joined on stage by another friend.
